Who doesn’t want to save time? Who doesn’t want fewer emails? Google Sheets will make the cleanup work my team often does for clients go faster and be more efficient. I wondered, how can I use this new feature with my team and my clients? #1: Internal usage: Undeposited funds account My brain started to spin in a thousand directions.

Imagine my excitement at seeing Google Sheets integration. When you work in the program, there always seems to be a new feature popping up! I made my latest discovery when exporting a Profit and Loss (P&L) report from QuickBooks. As an accountant using QuickBooks® Online Advanced, I sometimes feel like a kid in a candy store. For starters, if they could just expose the draft order through the API (be able to view and set reserved items), a decent wholesale app can be built.Technology.

We might soon have to take our wholesale payments to Square and manually update inventory if I cant find a solution. As their smaller customers grow into wholesale, they are losing bigger transactions on their payment gateway. I have seen many frustrated discussions here on Shopify's reluctance to address the wholesale problem. None of the apps work for us - they are all hacks - they either duplicate SKUs or use a second site which makes me think it is not a long-term option for us. And as a bit of background, we cant use Shopify for taking the Wholesale orders in the first place because, well, Shopify was not designed for dual pricing. We just signed a wholesale agency - expect our wholesale orders to go 3x this year and its a nightmare to not have an accurate picture of what is in stock, and what has been committed. Sure we can run some complex FIND formulas to count and parse each row but it seems like a lot of work, with a high risk of breaking! The Zapier webhook (great solution by the way!) gets me almost there but it only populates one row each of SKUs and Quantities separated by commas ex. What we want is another column to populate with wholesale orders automatically, so we can see the true inventory (shopify inventory minus unpaid commitments)ġ - Ideally, an inventory feed from Shopify that continually updates either on schedule or a trigger (every new order / inventory update)Ģ - I can even live with exporting inventory snapshot once from Shopify as long I get all new orders in automatically a way that I can use to update my google sheets through formulas. We have designed is a Google Sheets solution (ugh! I know), where before we create a draft shippable wholesale order in Shopify, we enter the order manually, item by item, in a column in google sheets (it is essentially a count of reserved items in Shopify draft orders). But when we get a new wholesale order (not through Shopify, through an external order form), there's no way to tell if we can fulfill the order because the inventory in Shopify is not adjusted for other draft orders where items are reserved.

This feature is great - it prevents a stock-out sale online through Shopify. So we create a draft Shopify order, and "reserve items" for 45-90 days till the invoice is paid. Wholesale orders often times have payment terms, like Net 30 or an In-Store date in future. Has anyone been able to get a close to real-time inventory snapshot from their Shopify store into Google Sheets automatically / on a trigger / on schedule.
